Where will the wedding take place?
Our wedding will take place at Browar Ksiezy Mlyn, a venue located in a local brewery building in Lodz, Poland.
When is the wedding?
The wedding will be held on Saturday, 22nd August 2026.. We’re looking forward to celebrating this special day with you!
Are there any activities before or after the wedding?
Yes! We have planned a guided city tour for our guests on Friday, August 21st. You can register for the tour using this link.
What is the RSVP deadline?
We truly hope you can join us on this special day! Please let us know whether you can attend by June 1st. RSVP link
How do I get to Poland?
The easiest airport to fly to is Warsaw (WAW) Airport. We recommend booking flights well in advance, as around 50 guests will be flying in. If you are flying from Oslo Friday-Sunday, we will be arranging a chartered bus transport from Warsaw Airport to Lodz and back for specific flights. Please see the Travel & Accommodation page for more information and tips.
Where should we stay?
We recommend that guests stay in Lodz city center (along Piotrkowska street), as it’s a lovely city to enjoy in the summer months. The wedding venue is in the city center as well. On the Travel & Accommodation page you’ll find accommodation options we recommend.
What will the weather be like?
The average daytime temperature in Lodz in August is around 22°C, but the weather can be a bit unpredictable. We recommend checking the forecast before leaving.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
All parts of the wedding day will be indoors.
Is there a dress code for the wedding?
The dress code is cocktail attire. Men may wear suits in any color and fabric. Ladies may wear midi-shorter dresses. See examples here. We chose to specify the dresscode to make it easier for guests unfamiliar with Polish weddings, but feel free to wear what makes you comfortable :)
Will there be transportation to the wedding?
Not to the wedding itself, as the venue is in the city center. We recommend ordering a very affordable Uber or Bolt if you’d rather not walk. We will however provide bus transfer from the Warsaw airport to Lodz and back for those arriving on Friday and leaving on Sunday (see Travel & Accomodation page for details).
What about food and allergies?
If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know well in advance in the RSVP so we can inform the caterer. We want all our guests to have a great dining experience!
Can I bring children?
Yes! A lot of our guests are travelling from abroad and we want to make sure that you can participate in our special day. Please remember to fill out the RSVP with the number of children attending
How can I give a gift to the couple?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. If you still wish to give something, a contribution towards our honeymoon or other experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Please note that we will not have the possibility to take physical gifts back with us to Norway.
It’s traditional in Poland to bring flowers or a bottle of wine for the couple, but we would appreciate it if you would consider donating to the local Animal Shelter instead. We will arrange a donation box for the ceremony.
